LegalTerms of Service
Last updated August 30, 2026
These terms are a plain-language agreement for using Innerance. The most important thing to know up front: Innerance is a tool for self-reflection, not a medical or clinical service, and it is not a substitute for professional care.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using Innerance, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. If you're using Innerance on behalf of an organization, you confirm you're authorized to accept these terms for it.
2. The service
Innerance is a web application for life assessment, reflection, and personal growth across a set of life areas, including journaling, guided prompts, self-assessments, goals, a resource library, and optional AI-generated insight into your reflections. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
3. Your account
You must provide accurate information and be at least 16 (or the age of digital consent where you live). You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@innerance.app if you suspect unauthorized use.
4. Subscriptions, trials & billing
Innerance is offered as a subscription with a free trial. When paid plans are active, the price, billing interval, and trial length are shown at checkout before you pay. Unless stated otherwise:
- Your subscription renews automatically each period until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- If you don't add payment during a trial, the account simply pauses — we don't charge surprise fees.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
Payments are handled by a third-party processor; your card details are processed by them, not stored by us.
5. Your content
Your reflections and other content are yours. You grant Innerance a limited licence to store, process, and display your content solely to operate the service for you — including sending reflections you choose to analyse to our AI provider. We don't claim ownership of your content, and we don't use it to train AI models or for advertising. You're responsible for the content you create and confirm you have the right to share it with the service.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break the law or infringe others' rights through the service.
- Attempt to access other users' data, or probe, scan, or breach security.
- Disrupt or overload the service, or scrape it at scale.
- Reverse engineer or resell the service except as permitted by law.
7. Not medical, psychological, or crisis care
Innerance is a tool for self-reflection and personal growth. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, psychological, diagnostic, or therapeutic advice. AI-generated readings can be wrong and should not be relied on as professional guidance.
Innerance is not a crisis service. If you are in crisis or may be a danger to yourself or others, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line immediately — in the US, call or text 988; elsewhere, find a line at findahelpline.com.
8. Our intellectual property
The Innerance software, brand, prompts, and design are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. These terms don't grant you any rights to them except the right to use the service as intended.
9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, Innerance will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Termination
You can stop using Innerance and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or to protect the service and its users. You can export your data before leaving.
11. Changes & governing law
We may update these terms; when changes are material we'll update the date above and notify you where appropriate. Continued use after changes means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
